Sheemie is... something of a contradiction, a lot of the time. Simple-minded, yes, but also sharper than most people give him credit for. He's capable of dissembling, if not outright lying, and will do so without hesitation when it's a matter of helping his friends. He usually allows people to believe that he's even less bright than he really is and sometimes actively creates that impression - a time-honoured defence of the downtrodden.

He's loyal to the death, if any given person is nice to him, and has a big generous heart. He loves Roland's original ka-tet (Roland, Alain and *especially* Cuthbert and Susan) unconditionally, after they saved him from being killed by a Big Coffin Hunter named Roy Depape. There is literally nothing he would not do for those four, asked or unasked.

Finally, he's psychic and a teleporter, able to open doors between places with his mind. It's easiest for him to do this when the place he's going to is in the same dimension - while he is capable of opening interdimensional doors, the effort tends to send him into a seizure. At least, it did in life. Because Sheemie - tavern boy, reluctant Breaker, rebel and hero - cut his foot during the Battle of Algul Siento and died of blood poisoning shortly afterwards, o Discordia. Milliways is his reward, his rest, and his reunion with his beloved friends.
